Xbox Reaffirms Commitment to Next-Gen Console Amid Growing Market Demand

Just twelve days after quashing rumors about abandoning the console market, Xbox president Sarah Bond confirmed that plans for a Xbox Series X and Series S successor remain on track.

Like other games, xbox is also looking forward to be in the market. In doing so, it not only has to upgrade but also come up with new characters and series.

This is what was asked from the VP of Variety Bond during an interaction right on the launch of the ROG Xbox Ally series of handhelds. She was simply asked the involvement of xbox regarding in-house console manufacture. To this, she confirmed that there are some follow ups being practiced regarding thelaunch of Xbox Series X and S.

Bond further confirmed that things are going on with their own pace so that they are able to make everything in the near future.

She stated that the team already has their next-gen hardware in the development stage and currently, they are looking forward to grab better design and prototyping. Lastly, he noted that his team is excited to have a deal with AMD.

Just like other brands, Xbox is also looking forward to surprise users with new characters, consoles, and other things. Bond noted that there was huge opportunity coming their way so as to give players a new brand Xbox Series X while playing the game.

And it can’t be complete without the addition of next-gen hardware. She stated that the team is already in touch with players and take care of what they want.

Enter the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds, Microsoft’s latest opportunity. Although early reviews have been lukewarm, citing the device’s high cost. It all happened that Bond’s recent words align with a message the company issued in early October.

If you look deep into what she actually stated, she mainly gave a hint regarding the partnership with AMD, by making next xbox just like contractual obligation.

Microsoft’s Xbox Division Faces Questions About Its Long-Term Vision

It was revealed earlier that the next Xbox console’s future had gone from confirmed to questionable, amid Microsoft’s rumored push mainly toward a software-first approach. At the same time, retailers including Sam and Costco’s Club began pulling Xbox products from stores, slashing prices on remaining units, and raising prices for Game Pass and hardware alike.

Shortly after those rumors began circulating, Microsoft was quick to state that it was “actively investing” in the future of Xbox. In response to rumors, Microsoft was quick to reassure users that the community remains “actively investing” in the next chapter of Xbox.

Now, weeks after Microsoft’s response, Bond is echoing that sentiment once again. Even if a next-generation Xbox console is on the way, it’s uncertain whether the launch climate will be supportive or if retailers will be ready to push its sales.
