Hundreds of Fortnite players shocked to see that they were unable to login to their entire Epic Game account. It all happened due to a huge server error which impacted the accress to various titles like Fall Guys, Rocket League, and Fortnite.
Other issues that users reported include connectivity issues, matchmaking failure, and login issues. All these issues were reported from different pasts of the world.
The core issue basically linked to some updates in the backend happened on a Fortnite crossover event. As per the latest update, the issue has already been fixed which has gfiven respite of the gamers.
Nobody would have expected a sudden and massive outage experienced by gamers affecting loads of gamers across the globe. Since the issue was faced by most gamers, it affected to some of the most popular titles Fall Guys, Rocket League, and Fortnite.
It all happened around 11.30 AM when the service disruption actually commenced. This created a sigh of unrest among users resulting loads of complaints from them all of a sudden.
There were different issues faced by different users. Some of them reported login failures, connectivity issues, while others faced matchmaking failures.
After going deep into the issue, the company shared a post of X and acknowledged the issue stating, “Looking at the ongoing issue, we are trying to restore the access to EGS, along with other titles like Fall Guys, Rocket League, and Fortnite. At this time we request you not to panic as we apologize for the inconvenience. Please keep yourself updated on http:// status.epicgames.com once logins are up and running.”
From Fortnite to Fall Guys: What the Epic Games Server Outage Disrupted
The issue was first reported by a tracking portal DownDetector where most of the users complained that they were unable to login and can’t join matches on Fortnite.
While some other users contacted the portal to state that they can’t connect to the server while playing games liek Rocket League. Users who were playing Fall Guys mainly complaied of issues in launching the game along with consistent disconnection messages.
As per the latest report, even the Epic Games Store also faced major disruptions as some users experienced issues like AS-3 error code which resulted in failures of the server.
What Caused the Epic Games Outage & When It Happened
The outage, as reported by hundreds of users was linked to the internal update on the event of Fortnite x The Simpsons crossover. When the servers crashed, it gave rise to many speculations like it was majorly linked to either some sort of technical glitches or server overload at the time of deployment of the game.
But Epic Games never announced the exact cause that hampere dthe issue. It further posted an official message statiung that they have finally resolved the issue. This is what they tweeted, “All services, including the Fall Guys, Rocket League, Fortnite, and Epic Games Store, are back online. Epic Games expressed gratitude to users for their patience while the issue was resolved.”
