Pokémon Legends: Z-A Rank System Sparks Confusion Among Fans

Pokemon Legends: Z-A was launched a few days ago and it’s been quite a while since players have got some experience handling the game. Talking about all the fun loaded, they continue to enjoy different aspects of the game like creature collecting, Pokemon battling, shiny hunting, or anything else they are about to get up around the city of Lumiose.

As of now, there has been reports regarding how players are finding the game. Althoiugh, most of them reported positively, there are some who are not satisfied and has even made them baffled.

One aspect that has irked some is Pokemon Legends: Z-A rank system, which is also known as ZA Royale. It’s been such that trainers can be seen taking some active part while engaging battles against each other. It’s just to rise in their ranks.

They simply want to push their ranks from Rank Z to Rank A. Even when I played the game myself, I realized that one way to rise in the game is to improve your rank so as to make your Pokemon get stronger than before.

Well, if you look at the Pokemon Legends: Z-A story in detail, there are various reasons why every single player is busy improving the rank. It all happens that Pokemon Legends: Z-A has been designed in such a way that it will instantly bump them for plot-related reasons.

It will then enable you to to go from Rank V all the way up to Rank F. Many users, after knowing the rank system in the game tried to go ahead with it, but they mainly got disappointed in the end.

For example, there was a player who’s also a Reddit user named Frillious, who got a chance to file his complaint on subreddit Pokemon regarding the game “depriving the player of actually doing it themselves” and simply called the very idea nothing more than a stupid decision.

You can see some other users going on the same path and agreeing to waht he says. Another user TheBiggestNose says that he witnessed the game to shrink in front of his eyes.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A sets itself up as a deep, immersive experience, though it turns out to be much more surface-level.

It’s quite evident after it takes away up to 15 ranks directly from the rank system and instantly making the game look smaller. According to Twitter user AmoebaLe, the worst part is that this huge narrative leap happens after a single quest, leaving it feeling rushed and hollow.

There’s a valid argument for the time jump, considering the gameplay might have suffered from fatigue had players been required to slowly ascend the ranks. Since the premise is spelled out in the title, it’s no surprise that certain fans felt a bit duped by how it all turned out.
