The year 2025 is coming to an end. There are some games that are still awaited. But it doesn’t seem like they are going to get released anytime soon. Yes, we are talking about Sklyblivion that was supposed to be released sooner or later. As per the update, Sklyblivion release date has been pushed to 2026.

As per the developers of Skyblivion, they have no problems as they have full support to the official remaster and therefore don’t see any sort of conflict between these projhects at all.

Although, they initially gave the target to unleash the project in 2025, the extensive Skyrim overhaul that was originally designed to completely remake Oblivion is now expected to release in 2026.

It suggests that they would have another look at the fan project. It will also reveal those parts of the game that have been completed. At the same time it will reveal which parts are still needed to be competed.
If you look otherwise, the entire game has been completed. You can look at all these aspects in the video sshared. You can check some more facts like how the team didn’t stop at upscaling, as seen in Oblivion Remastered, but revamped assets to feel unique while introducing some added features.
There are some more updates given related to Skyblivion release date. The developers hint that they won’t be able to find features like underwater and spellcrafting combat as they are going to be scrapped. It’s because the developers are not able to cope up with the versions that they are trying to run with the current build of the game.
As both of these featrures won’t be available in the Skyblivion update, along with some others like recruiting followers, and grave robbing, these might be added in the future.
While having a look at the Skyblivion delay, som of you won’t take it personally. It’s because if you were following Skyblivion lately, then you might have been aware about its actual release date. Well, you can see that Skyblivion was never going to have a release date as developers never confirmed it.
A former Skyblivion developer also suggested that they were making the project “rushed” and created it under “crunch” conditions so as to make the project release on time. In any case, it is ti be seen when it finally gets launched.
But whenever they will launch Skyblivion, fans would appreciate the wait period. As Bethesda has also liked the project and invited the team to make modifications in the project wherever needed.
